Honey Mustard Vinaigrette
In case we haven't established this yet, I am a very proud Italian-American. Something you may not know, however, is the American part is entirely made up of honey mustard as a flavor profile. Nothing makes me feel more American than dipping everything I possibly can into honey mustard sauce (my recipe for that: mix honey and mustard together).
I decided to bump the sauce up a level by creating this Honey Mustard Vinaigrette. Don't worry—it's only slightly more complex than the honey mustard sauce situation! Easy to make, delightful to taste, proudly American.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
⅓ cup olive oil
2 tablespoons red or white wine vinegar
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon spicy mustard
salt, pepper and red pepper flakes to taste
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Whisk ingredients together until well-combined. Taste and adjust your honey-to-mustard ratio to your liking. Serve with your dream salad.

Below are the ingredients and recipe for the salad I made in the photo above. One of my favorite ways to use Honey Mustard Vinaigrette is on a salad that has sweet ingredients, i.e. fresh fruit!
WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Fresh peaches, sliced
Fresh blueberries
Mixed greens
Salt
Pepper
Red pepper flakes
WHAT YOU'LL DO: Place peaches, blueberries, and greens in a bowl, pour your Honey Mustard Vinaigrette dressing on top, and use your hands to toss and coat evenly. Finish it off with a bit of salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste.
Other topping add-on options here: Feta or fresh mozzarella and almonds or walnuts. Whatever you do, have fun with it and enjoy every bite!
